The beautiful red-brick building is a renovated historical structure that was once used as an army arsenal. The museum collects and exhibits works by artists connected to the local area, as well as French Impressionist paintings and other artworks. Various special exhibitions are held throughout the year. The lush green garden surrounding the building offers an excellent place for a stroll with a view of Himeji Castle.
