The Himeji City Museum of Literature features modern architecture designed by Tadao Ando, offering beautiful views of Himeji Castle. The permanent exhibition introduces the history related to Himeji Castle and the words of literary figures connected to the Harima region through videos and graphic displays. Visitors can also enjoy strolling through the traditional Japanese architecture “Bōkeitei,” built in the Taisho period, as well as the surrounding garden.
